Kristopher Sandrick
Director of Vector Vivification
Kris' work in the Mad Science Lab is informed by a long-held passion for all things systematic and interactive. Deferring an engineering degree program, Kris served in the Navy for six years, creating web policy and developing both secure internal and public relations websites. He was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal by the Chief of Naval Operations for internet-related work and progress.
After leaving the service, Kris parlayed many of his public relations skills into commercial B-to-B and B-to-C interactive development at an advertising agency. In 2001, Kris left this agency to form a firm of his own designing and implementing interactive maps, ticket sales mechanisms and other custom applications for family oriented entertainment venues.
After seven years as CTO of this firm, a personal hobby — collecting an restoring classic arcade games — evolved into a business opportunity, and Kris began operating arcades as well as developing games.
Kris now brings this diverse experience to the Mad Science Department's Labs. Expert in understanding interactive engagement and development, Kris is constantly studying news ways to engage clients, from the common (like Flash, AJAX) to the truly unique (augmented reality, glyph tracking kiosks). Getting down and dirty with hardware isn't going to scare someone who's rebuilt a PacMan from the ground up, so you're just as likely to find Kris wiring up a brand new network as you are to find him coding a client's marketing-driven Social Media game!
